KFC, the first international Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) in Suriname, opened its doors in September 1996 at Waterkant and begun serving the internationally acclaimed fried chicken in Suriname. This had substantial influence on local eating habits and set the standard for the QSR in the country. The second restaurant opened in February 1998 at Wilhelminastraat, which further added to the brand’s presence in Suriname.
In 2013 operations expanded with a third KFC restaurant at Kwattaweg. The fourth location opened in February 2016 at the Ringweg in Paramaribo. KFC Ringweg is built according to the latest international design.
Pizza Hut, the first and only Pizza Hut in Suriname opened at the Wilhelminastraat in 1998. Suriname was now able to enjoy freshly made, world famous pizzas.
