MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supporting the Legal Counsel in both secretarial and legal areas;
- Providing legal-administrative assistance for various business units;
- Researching legislation and jurisprudence in preparation for legal files;
- Coordinating permit processes;
- Coordinating the legal process supply chain;
- Screening and drafting of legal documents, in particular national and international contracts;
- Contributing in achieving compliance with applicable laws and regulations;
- Managing digital files and archives using our legal software.
REQUIREMENTS
- Completed Law Degree/ thinking and working level;
- At least 2 years of work experience in a corporate legal department or in the legal profession;
- Demonstrate experience in contract law, corporate law and labor law;
- Knowledge of Surinamese laws and regulations;
- Knowledge of governance and risk management;
- Proficient fluency of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written;
- Integrity;
- Pro-active;
- Solution-oriented and flexible;
- Experience with MS Office and familiarity with legal databases and research tools.
